Inspect warehouse query statistics and audit records
GrowthBook adds more query-level diagnostics to help you investigate the warehouse work behind an analysis. The update expands statistics for Snowflake and Athena, corrects collection for BigQuery, Presto and ClickHouse, and adds query audit-log recording.
Investigate the query behind an analysis
Use View Queries to inspect the available warehouse statistics alongside the generated SQL. For example, when an analysis takes longer than expected, start with its queries to identify which work needs closer investigation before changing your metric definitions.
The updated SQL execution path records diagnostic metadata for both successful and failed queries. Failed-query records can include the warehouse's error message and code, helping distinguish a database failure from an unexpected analysis result.
Available statistics depend on the warehouse and its monitoring response. Treat the audit records as diagnostic context rather than a guarantee that every query path has complete statistics.
Getting started
Open View Queries for an analysis and inspect the statistics available for your data source. Use the query optimization guide to investigate relevant changes to SQL templates, fact tables or pipeline settings.
