Ask the AI Data Analyst about your product metrics
GrowthBook 4.4 introduced the AI Data Analyst beta for conversational product analytics. You can ask about your metrics in plain language and get charts and insights using the metrics, fact tables, and data sources already configured in GrowthBook.
Explore a question, then refine the chart
The analyst uses GrowthBook's exploration tools to help you:
- Find metrics and fact tables relevant to your question.
- Inspect columns and sample values before running an exploration.
- View a chart in the conversation, then open it in the Explorer for further editing.
For example, ask how daily active users vary by country. You can investigate that product question without writing a SQL query.
Getting started
To use AI Chat today, you need Pro or higher with AI Suggestions and a connected data source. Your organization must enable AI under Settings → General → AI. Ask an organization admin if AI is disabled. Self-hosted installations also need a configured provider API key.
Open Product Analytics in the sidebar and submit a question through AI Chat. Click the returned chart to review and adjust the exploration. Follow the AI Chat documentation for the workflow.
