Analyze Adobe Experience Platform data in GrowthBook
GrowthBook adds Adobe Experience Platform Query Service as a data source, released as an early preview. If your event data lives in Adobe XDM datasets, you can define assignment queries and metrics against it. GrowthBook runs read-only queries on that data to build experiment results.
Connect with Adobe credentials
An Adobe System Admin first configures the required sandbox and Query Service permissions. You then connect with a non-expiring OAuth Server-to-Server credential and the connection values Adobe provides.
The connector reaches Query Service through its PostgreSQL-compatible interface, but it generates SQL tailored to Adobe. Treat it as its own connection type rather than a generic PostgreSQL source. Adobe's interactive-query timeout, result caps, and license-specific concurrency limits still apply.
Check the supported scope
Some GrowthBook capabilities are currently unavailable on this connection, so plan your analysis around them:
- Schema browsing doesn't suggest tables or columns while you write queries.
- Funnel metrics and funnel explorations are unavailable.
- Incremental refresh is unavailable.
If one of these blocks your team, contact GrowthBook support.
Getting started
In Metrics and Data → Data Sources, add a data source and choose Manual Set Up. Select Experience Platform, enter Adobe's connection details, and save. GrowthBook tests the connection when you save. Then create assignment queries and fact tables for your XDM datasets. Follow the Adobe Query Service setup guide for field mapping and current limits.
