Run Product Analytics explorations through MCP and REST

GrowthBook 4.4 brings Product Analytics explorations to MCP and the REST API. You can ask an agent or a script for a chart, such as daily signups by country, and get the data back without building a dashboard first. A deep link opens the same chart in GrowthBook when you want to look closer.

Choose what to explore

Run explorations against:

• Existing fact metrics, using your metric definitions.
• Fact tables, to analyze data from a configured fact table.
• Data-source tables, to analyze a table from your SQL data source.

Responses include the exploration configuration, date range, status, and result rows. The API also returns the first associated query when available. Inspect the returned configuration and dates alongside the values.

Getting started

Use a configured SQL data source and an account that can run its queries.

• For REST, create a personal access token under your user menu. Send a valid configuration to POST /api/v1/product-analytics/metric-exploration, then inspect the response.
• For MCP, connect your client and ask for a chart using your metric, date range, and breakdown. Open the returned exploration link to review the chart.
