Earlier in her career, August worked as a software engineer and a Python Developer for Technical Content on communications platform Twilio's Developer Voices team, writing tutorials for everyone from developers just learning the command line to those deploying production applications. August has championed hiring developers from non-computer-science backgrounds and mentored them through their first projects.
