What
A ramp schedule step can now be set to advance automatically when an approval is granted, rather than requiring someone to manually trigger the next phase after approving.
Why
When rollouts are gated behind approval, the ramp does not advance until someone sees the approval and triggers the next step manually.
Setting a step to start on approval closes that gap. The approval event advances the ramp directly, with nothing to monitor in between.
How
- Open a feature flag's ramp schedule and edit a step
- Set the trigger to Start on Approval instead of a time-based condition
- When the approval is granted, the ramp advances automatically — no follow-up action required
